This year we are pleased to offer a six-year vertical of our Tiratore Chardonnay, 2018–2023, grown in our la collina vineyard. Four bottles of each vintage, 24 bottles in total (2023 will be available mid-2024).
tiratore Italian (ti-ra-tó-re) hunter/marksman
When planting the vines, old, spent bullets were found in almost every hole dug on the slope of la collina. We imagine this area was used for many years as a firing range for target practice.
Single vineyard Chardonnay from vines originally planted in 2001 on the lower slopes, terraces and flat, old riverbed (the former path of the Ngaruroro River prior to the floods in the late 1800s) of la collina vineyard.
