From the warm, rocky soils of our high-density Omahu Vineyard in the Gimblett Gravels, Cantera is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo. Hand-harvested, co-fermented and aged in oak barrels for up to 20 months, these parcels produce an exotic wine of deep colour, blackcurrant, hints of cocoa and vanilla, finishing long and gravelly.
Included in this lot is a private Smith & Sheth Studio Experience – a truly one-of-a-kind wine tasting for up to 8 guests. Over two hours, you’ll be expertly guided on a journey through three iconic New Zealand wine regions with wines from Smith & Sheth, Pyramid Valley and Lowburn Ferry as your vehicle.
