Quarter Barrique – 56L / 72 bottles
Winemaker: Ben Thombs
Sourced from our Gimblett Gravels Estate, our Block 35 Cabernet Sauvignon was planted in 2001 and is one of the components that would normally go into our Prestige red cuveé, Sophia. The wine has been aged in French oak for 18 months. It is rich yet refined, with ripe flavours and a tannin structure that supports extensive ageing. It will be ready to bottle from December 2025.
You will also be among the first to experience Craggy Range’s exclusive new upstairs dining space, opening in September 2025, with an extraordinary four-course dinner for up to 10 guests.
Hosted by Chief Winemaker Ben Tombs, this intimate evening promises a four-course menu by Executive Chef Casey McDonald, created to complement some of the finest back-vintage Prestige wines from our cellar:
2011 Les Beaux Cailloux – A rare and beautifully aged expression of our revered Chardonnay.
2012 Aroha – An elegant and complex Pinot Noir, showcasing the essence of Te Muna.
2013 Le Sol – A bold, velvety Syrah that stands among New Zealand’s finest.
2015 Sophia – A Bordeaux-style blend, rich with depth and sophistication.
This one-of-a-kind experience offers the opportunity to savour exceptional wines, hear the stories behind them, and enjoy an unparalleled culinary journey in an exquisite new setting.
Terms & Conditions: Dinner booking subject to availability. Must be redeemed by 13 September 2026.
