Auction Lot Details
Specially created for the 2024 Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction, this very special wine is an assemblage ‘field blend’, donated by members of the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers Association. From the 2023 vintage, each winery has selected the best red grape variety and the best parcels of fruit that the vintage delivered, with each member’s component expertly blended by winemaker Jenny Dobson.
Members contributing to this wine comprise: Craggy Range, Čuvar Winery, Elephant Hill, Esk Valley, Mills Reef, Mission Estate, Pask, Sacred Hill, Smith & Sheth, Squawking Magpie, Trinity Hill, Unison, Villa Maria, William Murdoch.
Founded in 2001, the Gimblett Gravels Winegrowers Association brings together some of New Zealand’s finest wine producers with a fervent respect for the concept of terroir, combined with modern day thinking to define, protect and market wine.
