The Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction will celebrate it’s 33rd edition of this fantastic event in 2025.

Join us for the 33rd edition of the Hawke’s Bay Wine Auction.

The region’s leading winemakers donate their rarest and finest, with over 40 lots of
outstanding wine on offer across our live and silent auctions. The auction will also feature a
beautiful piece of art from artist Joe Helmore.

Art Preview + Tasting Evening

Date:  Wednesday 13th August 2025, 5:30-7:30pm

Venue:  Napier War Memorial Center

Cost:  $60pp incl. GST

Join us at the Preview + Tasting Evening, where guests have the opportunity to sample wines from this year’s sensational auction lots, ahead of the live auction on Saturday 13th September.

Mingle with the region’s best winemakers, enjoy delicious canapés by Dish Catering, view the beautiful feature artwork for this year’s auction, all whilst sipping some of the region’s most extraordinary wines. Joe Helmore, this year’s feature artists, has kindly donated a print of his work CAPE X to be auctioned at this event.

Wine Auction Event Day 

Date:  Saturday, 13th September 2025, 12:30-5pm

Venue: Toi Toi – HB Arts & Events Centre

Tickets:

Individual Tickets – $85

Bar Leaner for 4 – $460

  • Includes 4 tickets and a reserved bar leaner and stools.

Table of 10 – $1,450

  • Includes; gourmet charcuterie boards for your group of 10 and a bottle of VILAURA 2021 Hawke’s Bay Blanc de Blanc.

All tickets include:

  • A 90 minute wine tasting session, where you can sample auction wines and mix and mingle with Hawke’s Bay’s top winemakers.
  • A glass of VILAURA 2021 Hawke’s Bay Blanc de Blanc.
  • Delicious canapes by Dish Catering.

Event schedule

12.30pm – 2pm: Wine tasting experience in the Assembly Room
12.30pm – 3.45pm: Silent auction bidding open
2.45pm – 5pm: Live auction, hosted by HBWA Ambassador, Mike McRoberts, and Auctioneer Chris Kennedy

Your ticket purchase will apply you to the event contact tracing register.  We are requesting more information now to avoid a manual register with personal details sitting in a public place at the event.
